You Can Spit on Me!
Written and Illustrated by Joseph Barbier
In the wee morning hours the day after my youngest daughter was born, she spit up on me. As I was holding her on my shoulder, I told her, "That's okay, Rose. You can spit on me." That phrase turned into a poem and that poem turned into a children's picture book about how even though love can be messy, it's worth it.

A book of poetry by my daughter Joy across a range of topics like playing outside in summertime, singing Christmas carols, as well as portraits of her brothers and sisters. Bumblebees, pancakes, plane rides, car rides, apple pie, oak trees, horses, potato chips, and much more. Accompanying each poem is an illustration by yours truly.
